AAI ® – Accredited Adviser in Insurance

The AAI designation is a designation earned through advanced curriculum through The Institutes Risk & Insurance Knowledge Group. The program is designed to create stronger insurance product knowledge with an emphasis on customer service skills.

API ™ – Associate in Personal Insurance

An API designation is achieved after completing an educational program focused on facilitating personal lines, underwriting, portfolio management and other aspects of personal insurance.

CIC – Certified Insurance Counselor

A CIC designation certifies that an individual has a vast knowledge of insurance and risk management to provide appropriate coverage. The designation is provided through The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research, and requires 100 classroom hours and five comprehensive exams.

CISR – Certified Insurance Service Representative

A CISR is a nationally recognized designation committed to customer service within the insurance industry. Certified by The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research, the certification requires ongoing education after completion of five courses and examinations.

CISR Elite – Certified Insurance Service Representative “Elite”

The CISR “Elite” designation is an advanced extension of the CISR certification. The advanced status requires completion of four additional courses and examinations, as well as adhering to continuing education.

CPCU – Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter

A Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, is an insurance professional who has earned the CPCU designation; the designation is conferred by The Institutes CPCU Society.

CPIM – Certified Professional Insurance Man

The CIPM designation is earned through curriculum provided by International Association of Insurance Professionals. The designation requires five years of insurance industry experience, and completion of required IAIP curriculum.
